Designing a multichain Web3 wallet browser extension from scratch
Exodus is a leading crypto wallet platform originally focused on desktop and mobile experiences. The browser extension marked a strategic expansion into the Web3 ecosystem, aiming to compete in a space largely dominated at the time by solutions like MetaMask. The product was built as a fully fledged, multichain Web3 wallet designed for interacting with decentralized apps, managing assets, and syncing seamlessly across devices.
I led the design of the browser extension while staying deeply hands-on throughout the project. My role covered defining the core visual concept, product design across key parts of the extension, and leading designers working on parallel areas of the system. The work required close collaboration with product and engineering to deliver a feature-rich Web3 wallet experience at scale.
The extension later evolved into a white-label solution offered as a service, powering partner products such as Magic Eden and forming the foundation of Exodus’ Wallet‑as‑a‑Service offering.
